REGISTER HERE

Educator Cafe- : Unseen and Unsupported: ADHD in Women and Girls Tuesday Oct 7, 2025 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Girls and women with ADHD are too often overlooked, misunderstood, and left to navigate life without the resources, support, or diagnosis they need. This presentation advocates for those whose ADHD has gone undetected due to gender bias, masking behaviors, and a lack of awareness in educational and clinical settings.

Educators and school professionals will be able to:

Understand how ADHD presents in girls and women Dispel harmful myths and stigma around ADHD Take actionable steps to support, empower, and advocate for students living with ADHD. Together, we can create more inclusive, informed, and compassionate environments where every student—especially those who have been historically underdiagnosed—can thrive.

Bio: Tatiana Benack is a first-generation American, mental health advocate, and founder of Noteworthy Resources of Albany, Inc. (NWR)—a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to improving access to cognitive, emotional, and social support. Living with ADHD, postpartum depression, and intergenerational trauma, Tatiana uses her lived experience to help others manage stress, build healthy habits, and reach their goals. As a stay-at-home mom running NWR, Tatiana created the Empowered Mothers program and is now offering Mental Health Coaching to moms as a safe, supportive space to connect and care for their mental wellness. She holds a B.A. in Psychology, is trained in trauma-informed care, and is a certified Mental Health First Aid and NAMI peer support provider. She is currently working toward her certification as a mental health coach to deepen her impact and expand her support services.
